From a point file to a reviewed result
Start with the free check. Use an early access preview when you need saved jobs, surfaces and reports.
1. Read the file as its author intended
CSV and TXT are tables, not coordinate-system definitions. Choose the column separator, decimal separator and thousands separator separately. A Spanish or French interface does not imply decimal commas, metres or a particular grid.
For example, 1,234 can mean 1234 with a comma thousands separator, or 1.234 with a decimal comma. Compare the interpreted preview with a known point before proceeding. Use semicolons or tabs around unquoted decimal-comma values.
2. Map and confirm the source
Map four different columns: point ID, easting/X, northing/Y and elevation/Z. Blank elevations stay blank; they are never silently changed to zero. Duplicate point IDs or repeated X/Y positions require review, even when repeated positions are intentional.
Choose metres, international feet or US survey feet to match the source. International feet and US survey feet differ. Record the horizontal coordinate reference and the elevation reference from the survey or project documentation; use “unknown” if you cannot establish them.
3. Understand what the check proves
The free checker checks numeric notation and duplicates in CSV/TXT files up to 10 MB and 50,000 points. It does not inspect LandXML, transform coordinates, prove positional accuracy or validate a surface. The file stays on this device.
The preview shows up to ten points and the findings list up to 100 issues; the totals cover the whole accepted file. A clean numeric check is not approval to build from the data. Keep the original file and inspect unexpected coordinates or missing elevations.
4. Continue in a saved job
After signing in, explicitly start an available early access preview. Create a company workspace even if you work alone, then create a named job. Keep its time zone tied to the actual project; language does not determine the time zone.
In the workspace, use “Surfaces” to import supported surface data and confirm source units and reference information. Choose matching horizontal and elevation references before comparison. Unit conversion is not a datum transformation. Do not combine unknown or incompatible references.
5. Review, save and export
Review the interpreted points and any coverage or assumption warnings before accepting a result. Check the result against a known point or a small independently calculated example. Missing overlap and unsupported areas are not zero quantities.
Use “Save to job” and wait for confirmation before changing devices. Export the reviewed output and retain your source files. No preview end date is currently announced. If preview access ends in the future, saved records remain readable and exportable; editing requires an active entitlement.
Language and support
The checker, account setup, early access and billing instructions support English, Spanish and French. Some advanced workspace controls, exported technical labels and the backup account portal remain in English. Those limits are shown here so you can assess the workflow before starting.
For help, include the tool name, browser and visible error. Never send verification codes or passwords. Use a small synthetic file to explain a parsing problem whenever possible.
